In an attempt to be more inclusive to todays generation, M&M candy has decided to cancel the green M&M candy character who was often displayed as “sexy.”

According to the Washington Examiner, the popular candy brand said all of their famous candy characters will be getting a new look to appear to have more “nuanced personalities” to keep up with the changing times.
Mars Inc. the company which owns the candy brand said, the decision to give the characters a makeover is to keep “global commitment to creating a world where everyone feels they belong and society is inclusive.”
The green M&M was often seen wearing her white go-go boots and would often pose seductively. The company plans to remove all that now and aims to turn her into “a hypewoman.”
The green M&M is then seen trading in her go-go boots and says, “I think we all win when we see more women in leading roles, so I’m happy to take on the part of supportive friend when they succeed.”
