This is not good for the world.

It now appears that Russian President Vladimir Putin has just decided to begin shooting rockets at A major Ukrainian nuclear power plant near Kyiv and set it on fire.

Many experts are now fearing for a Chernobyl-style catastrophic event which could have unspeakable consequences.

According to the Washington Examiner, Putin appears to have targeted the Zaporizhzhia plant in the city of Enerhodar. This plant supplies a quarter of Ukraine’s power alone and is one of the largest plants in the world.

At the time of writing this a government official informed the Associated Press that they have detected elevated levels of radiation.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated, “Russian army is firing from all sides upon Zaporizhzhia NPP, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. Fire has already broke out. If it blows up, it will be 10 times larger than Chornobyl! Russians must IMMEDIATELY cease the fire, allow firefighters, establish a security zone!”

The mayor of Enerhodar stated, “A threat to world security!!! As a result of relentless shelling by the enemy of the buildings and blocks of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is on fire!!! I demand, stop! Immediately stop shelling the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant point blank.”
