She made a bold prediction that many didn’t believe would happen.
During a recent interview with MSNBC, Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) claimed that after her meeting with Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT), she believes both of Biden’s spending bill will successfully pass through Congress.
According to Breitbart, Rep. Jayapal admitted that it was a messy process however still claims that the bills will pass. Jayapal said Democrats must bridge the differences and come together. She demanded that Democrats work together and get both bills, the infrastructure bill and Build Back Better Act, to President Biden’s desk so he can officially sign them.
She then expressed happiness to have gotten a chance to speak with Senator Manchin but did not go into too much detail regarding their conversation.
She then said, “We’re going to keep having these conversations. I’m back at the White House tomorrow with some of my progressive colleagues. I know the president is also doing another meeting with some of the other centrist Democrats, but this is important. I do think it’s important that the president himself has been really engaged.”
